The copies supplied in April last were of the latest edition, in fact that is the only one now in existence, the alterations to the boundary were made on the actual plate so that the older edition has, ipso facto, ceased to exist.
I am sorry that the paragraph in your note of 20th March 1901, specifically asking for the older edition, was overlooked at the time, otherwise I should have drawn attention to this.
As regards the question of treating the map as confidential I am afraid there has been some misunderstanding. Colonial Office note of 12th November 1900 states that the map is not to be placed on sale to the public but it was never understood from this that it was to be treated as confidential.
